Breaking News: The latest Southern California storm has led to the temporary closure of golf fairways. No tee times will be available for several days.
The courses are soaked, the rough is swimming, and the ground needs time to recover. Management has closed the fairways to prevent critical turf damage that would take weeks to repair.
That means it’s time to accept the inevitable: Fairways closed, couches open!
Since you won't be on the course for the next few days, it's time to sharpen the most important part of your game: the short game.
Roll a few putts across the carpet—the true test of any flat stick.
Challenge your roommates to a high-stakes putting contest.
Line up that three-footer between the coffee table and the couch.
Practice chipping onto a soft blanket from across the room (use foam balls only!).
Because when the sun comes back and the courses reopen, the greens won't forgive sloppy strokes. Get to work now so you can drop strokes off your scorecard later!
