From July 31 to August 3, 150 professional golfers and a select group of elite amateurs competed in the rigorous 72-hole stroke play tournament.

The Champion Rises: Fahrny Conquers El Dorado

The field, which included seasoned tour veterans and eager up-and-comers, was narrowed by cuts after the 36th and 54th holes, setting up an exciting weekend finale.

Brannon Fahrny delivered a championship performance, navigating the course's firm greens and shifting coastal winds to emerge as the 2025 Long Beach Open champion. His victory cemented his place in the event's rich history.

Amateur Excellence

The Long Beach Open’s tradition of showcasing top amateur talent continued to shine brightly this year.

  • Patrick Ordonez (A) not only successfully made the cut but also posted an impressive weekend score of 67.

  • Ordonez finished inside the top 20, earning significant respect from professionals and fans alike and underscoring the high caliber of local amateur play.

Local Pride and Community Celebration

Spectators enjoyed more than just competitive golf. The event successfully merged high-level play with significant community moments:

  • Hall of Fame: The tournament weekend coincided with the Long Beach Golf Hall of Fame induction of Dana Dahlquist and Troy Grant, adding an extra layer of celebration to Sunday’s closing ceremony.

  • Proving Ground: Since its inception, the Long Beach Open has served as a critical proving ground for future stars and a vibrant showcase for the city’s deep golf culture.

This year’s edition reinforced its reputation as one of Southern California’s premier competitive events, blending professional-level play with community engagement.
